Unique Locally Made Mother’s Day Gifts

Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate that special Mother figure in your life. Sure you can buy her the go-to flower arrangement (like you do every year). But I’m sure you agree that tends to get a bit monotonous for all involved.

This year I urge you to think outside the box and offer her something truly unique. And the best way to do that is to buy something locally made!

Vancouver Island has some extremely talented artisans who, I know, would be thrilled to help you find that perfect gift for Mom.

This post puts together a sampling of some of these great creators and showcases products they feel would be an ideal Mother’s Day gift.

All of the products mentioned below can be purchased directly from the artisan’s website, with a click-through from the image.

So ditch the usual suspect of a typical flower arrangement, and give your Mom something as unique and special as she is.

The product being featured is a stone family of four. The stones are meticulously mounted on top of a beautiful piece of driftwood. Delicate dried grass is also used to give the piece depth and charm. Every shadow box created is very special to Angie, as each one holds a specific story. This story is included on an index card with every purchase.
